Overview

Edelman Seattle has an exciting opportunity for an account supervisor. This position will play a key role in our Business + Social Purpose team, which focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR) communications strategy, planning, reporting, engagement, outreach and new business development. Client types include apparel, outdoor retail, food, travel, energy and technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage her/his project teams’ performance as it relates to client service, deadline adherence and quality control
  • Help to evolve and disseminate the firm’s proprietary IP, including BrandShare, and will also contribute to specialty surveys, white papers and social media amplification efforts
  • Play a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive public relations campaigns, with a specific focus on corporate social responsibility
  • Serve as daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate
  • Help set client program goals and manage against them
  • Effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines, and manage day-to-day client budget issues to resolution
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, CSR reports, press materials, strategic plans, new business proposals, etc.
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, effective pitching and training of spokespersons on speeches and presentations and growth of contact network
  • Demonstrate practical and advanced understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these channels into client programs
  • Become familiar with Edelman network resources and use them to meet client goals
  • Provide ongoing constructive feedback and consistently hold staff accountable for performance, compliance and ethical business conduct
  • Set achievable goals and tasks, delegate opportunities and provide resources for staff to meet their goals; consistently measure and reward goal achievement
  • Contribute to the performance appraisal process for peers, managers and direct reports
  • Contribute to new business process, including identifying new business opportunities
  • Work with account leads to introduce existing clients to relevant and new Edelman capabilities, including resources outside of your own group, to advance their business goals
