About HERI Madagascar
HERi Madagascar is a social venture that has as its aim to bring renewable energy concepts to developing countries around the world. One of these concepts is the Energy Kiosk. The Energy Kiosk is a 20 sq meter building with solar panels on the roof that delivers energy services (solar lamps, battery and phone charging) to villages that do not yet have electricity. Besides offering energy products and services, the Kiosk can also function as a retail channel that offers other products to the villagers to help improve their standard of living.
Over the past 18 months HERi Madagascar has worked hard on developing the concept of the Energy Kiosk and is pleased to announce the opening of the first Energy Kiosk in November, on a location that lies 70 km from the capital of Antananarivo.
