citizenM is expanding rapidly. We have a need to continuously build and improve our ESG data, reports and programs, so that we can reduce our impacts and be fully prepared for the future. We are therefore seeking a knowledgeable, dynamic, motivated, reporting and data driven ESG Analyst. Our vision is to have a positive influence on this world in which we are simply guests.
To ensure success in this role, you should have a deep understanding and experience of ESG and data requirements and reporting. You understand which topics are relevant from an ESG perspective and can work with multiple stakeholders to make this data available. You love spreadsheets and data platforms and like telling visual stories with credible data which makes people take action.
The new analyst role will be responsible for the collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting of key ESG data, as well as supporting our decarbonisation projects. This role will report to the Social Responsibility Manager and will work cross departmentally with teams across citizenM.

key responsibilities
Data collection, reporting and analysis of ESG data
Third party data assurance project coordination
Building of a comprehensive/robust data system to meet reporting requirements for GRI, TCFD, GRESB, CDP, CREMM and SFDR
Environmental product owner responsible for key data sections of GRESB, Financial reporting and our building Brand standards. You are the go to person for environmental data and processes and data requests
GHG emissions analysis, modeling and target setting to transition to a low carbon economy/net zero
Developing ESG, energy and/emissions strategy, science based targets and management programs across existing and new building portfolio with ESG Manager
Lead carbon value chain analysis for scope 3 reporting
Create quarterly data dashboard reports to aid business decisions
Support Hotel Property Management Team and technical teams with data needs to help in the identification and deployment of appropriate energy efficiency
Feed data into efficiency/netzero projects
Track and trace performance against targets over time
Track emerging compliance, green building legislation energy compliance/data reporting requirements and trends, and carbon pricing and carbon offsetting trends.
Future proof our data by working with stakeholders that our ESG data will be available such way so it can be integrated in citizenM’s data solutions
qualifications / skills
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Energy, Environmental Science or Sustainability, related field
Applicable work experience preferably in Real Estate industry
Highly skilled in data analysis, ability to model, interpret data and present compelling information with a sound methodical and logical approach
Knowledge of greenhouse gas inventories and carbon management strategies, including carbon neutrality or net zero programs
Passion for the Green and SDG/Social/Sustainability agenda and the low carbon & climate resilient future
A strategic and analytical mindset
Experience of reporting and submissions to ESG standards and indices
Solid and demonstrated knowledge and execution of environmental data/efficiency carbon reduction projects
Knowledge of and familiarity with all other major ESG disclosure platforms reporting frameworks certification such as including but not limited to GRI,CDP, LEED and BREEAM, UN PRI and TCFD reporting
Ability to effectively manage changing priorities to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to write reports and presentations of details and summaries that identify and recommend operational best practices
Ability to handle multiple tasks, programs, and priorities at the same time.
Experience and knowledge of the real estate industry and insight into business drivers and material ESG aspects that improve business, investment, and real estate financial performance
