Start Date: A.S.A.P., 40 hrs p/w. (€ 33,000.- / € 38,000.- gross per year on full time basis)

Contract: 1 year initially – extension by mutual consent
Position summary and job purpose
The Senior Coordinator, Standards supports the management of projects that contribute to the development and application of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI Standards), which are used by thousands of organizations around the world to report about their impacts on the economy, the environment, and society.
The post holder is primarily responsible for supporting the set-up and the management of expert technical groups that develop content for the GRI Standards. This includes designing and carrying out research approaches, analysing and interpreting expert and stakeholder feedback, setting up systems to track the progress of projects, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on various project activities.
The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved with a range of sustainability content
areas, such as tax, human rights, and socio-economic issues. The role requires constant on-the-job learning, and will provide many opportunities to engage with international experts and different types of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented, and will be able to work independently as needed, balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks. The candidate will also have strong research and analytical skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The post holder may manage some projects and may support others, in line with the GSSB Due Process Protocol.

• Plans, implements and manages specific deliverables for projects related to the development and application of the GRI Standards; including developing concrete, detailed plans and timelines, and setting up systems to track and report on progress
• Designs and manages research projects; including establishing objectives, approaches, and timelines; coordinating with internal (or external) contacts to prepare and implement a research plan; and synthesizing and presenting findings for specific audiences
• Coordinates the analysis of qualitative feedback from expert and stakeholder consultations; including compiling and organizing the feedback; synthesizing and interpreting large amounts of technical feedback; researching and proposing solutions to address the feedback; and presenting findings for specific audiences
• Manages expert and stakeholder engagement activities, including managing meeting schedules, organizing meetings and teleconferences, preparing meeting agenda and materials, communicating with technical experts, presenting, facilitating discussions, and summarizing key outcomes from groups
• Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical input on materials related to the application of the GRI Standards (e.g., training or guidance documents); and to answer technical enquiries about the GRI Standards
• Develops high-quality written materials, including presentations, briefing documents, departmental documents and program proposals
• Represents GRI at external and internal events related to the GRI Standards
Key competencies / Requirements
• Minimum 4 years’ experience coordinating multi-faceted projects, involving research and analysis of complex issues and collaboration with a range of stakeholders
• Technical knowledge of reporting and standards processes, including experience with the design of performance indicators, is a plus
• Experience or expertise in economics, socio-economic impact, and/or human rights and labor standards is a plus
• Strong research skills and experience with complex research assignments, including strong logical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills, including experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops or training sessions
• Native-speaker level of written and spoken English, and preferably fluent in one other language
• Results-focused and able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work to precise timelines
• Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure maximum results
• Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural setting
• Affinity with the mission and vision of GRI
