As an Associate at MADE-BY you will join our Resource Pool and provide support for our Consultant team as you develop your own knowledge and experience in sustainable fashion. You will be comfortable carrying out technical data and process driven tasks, as well as desk based research and some client facing activities. You will also need to be proactive and show initiative, be willing to ‘turn your hand’ to any task that comes your way, have excellent time management and thrive on a busy varied workload. The role requires fluency in English, both written and spoken, and fluency in other European languages is highly desirable. The Associate will support the Consultancy team in their data analysis, technical support, research, business development, account management and project delivery, as well as other activities as required within a busy, small not for profit organisation.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Supporting the Consultancy team in delivering sustainable fashion projects with clients (largely retailers and brands), and the development of new services. Specific activities may include: excel based technical analysis of data; desk-based research and analysis of market and subject information; client ready report and proposal writing; compiling and writing content for client ready information and communications materials; supporting on the preparation and delivery of training and workshops; proof reading.
Undertaking desk based research and analysis for new business outreach as required by the Consultancy team.
Supporting the Consultancy team in client relationship management through attending client meetings and workshop; liaising with clients by phone and email; delivering our consultancy service to an excellent standard.
Acquiring specific content knowledge and expertise of the business and sector for ultimate co-delivery of projects.
Translating documents and information (as relevant)
Providing additional support for MADE-BY promotional activities including social media, press launches and events.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

Experience of excel data processing and analysis.
Experience of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience of carrying out research, analysis, and drawing conclusions and/or recommendations.
Experience of working with Microsoft Office programmes
Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Masters degree in a relevant subject such as Sustainability, CSR, Textiles, Management, etc.
Proven technical knowledge on sustainable fashion and supply chains.
Fluency in additional European language(s).

Location: Amsterdam in preference, but will also consider those who wish to be based in London.

Contract: 40 hours per week, one year fixed term contract, office based with some travel

Reports to: Resource Pool Lead plus mentor relationship with Senior Consultant

Salary: €31,000 – 33,000/£26,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
